Mike Suriano is SFE’s CFO, having joined the company in March 2018. Prior to this position, Mike served as the Vice President of Finance for Bar-S Foods Company, a leading manufacturer and distributor of packaged foods within both retail and foodservice industries. Before his 19-year career at Bar-S, Mike held financial management positions for companies in both private industry and public accounting. In addition, he is a graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and currently serves as a Director on two non-profit boards for organizations dedicated to safeguarding the wellbeing of children.

Mike and his team hold budgetary responsibility for SFE, regularly reviewing budget versus actual activity and monitoring budget variances. This process includes reconciling the financial statements of activity and verifying that required approvals have been obtained, as well as confirming that adequate documentation exists to support each financial transaction. In order to monitor such activity, Mike and his team conduct a daily reconciliation utilizing our SFE Financial Summary system. This report analyzes operation expenditures per district and reviews any unusual trends.
